Interactive Designer
Skills & Qualifications
• Must demonstrate ability to deliver projects to client specifications, within time-line and budget
• Ability to create exceptional designs under strict deadline
• Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash
• Understanding of ActionScript 2.0, 3.0
• Working Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Thorough understanding of web standards
• Motion Graphics, Video and 3D Animation knowledge is a plus!
• Professional training focused on art and design, such as a bachelor’s degree or similar experience.
• 2-3 years experience as a web designer
• List of URL's/online portfolio. Please give SPECIFIC details about your level of involvement (concept, art, code, programming, etc.) on each project
• Familiarity with current trends in web design and online environments
Responsibilities of Position
• Optimizes visual design and concept in the internet or multimedia environment.
• Visually expresses and integrates with information architect and editorial deliverables and technical specs from development and production groups.
• Understands concept of complete project and is able to convey it to the client.
• Adheres to agreed upon delivery schedule coordinated with Project Manager. Keeps Project Manager notified of any changes in schedule.
• Communicates with the project team throughout all stages of design.
• Signs-off that site has been correctly implemented by development to reflect final approved visual design.
• Ability to work with a large variety of clients.
• Ability to communicate and inform the project team members.
• Solid understanding of client deliverables, and the ability to take responsibility for them.
• Specific knowledge of design tools for the online environment.
• Ability to create superior, original designs for the Web.
• Work in concert with creative team to design web applications that enrich client brand experience
• Develop elegant web solutions that perform appropriately and degrade gracefully in multiple browsers, platforms, and media types.
• Review information architecture and creative designs for feasibility.
• Adapt visual designs into dynamic websites and website templates.
• Deadline-oriented with the ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple projects within tight time-frames
• Adhere to and help develop best practices.
• Contribute to the development of various concept-driven projects.
